It's just an extension cord, right? This product is built better than any 12v product I have ever owned. The cord is insulated and thick, cushioned with a soft-smooth silicone-feel plastic that won't scratch a car. The 12v connectors are firmly attached and appear to be built to last. Came with a 2 year warranty, should last a lifetime.
